Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia was born and raised in Canada. She is most well-known to Canadians for her role as a Canadian actress in the Freeform fantasy show Shadowhunters. Also, she appeared in Venevision television series Cosita linda e Voltea to whom you are love. Emeraude is also a talented dancer and model. Montreal-born, she has lived in Texas since childhood, and always had a blast dancing. As a kid she was trained to dance in various forms. When she was 15, she was a contestant in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia was a hit by her appearance on Nuestra Belleza Latina, the Univision pageant series. In an episode of Telemundo's television show Aurora, she played a receptionist. She appeared in the 2015 action thriller Tattooed Love, her debut film. Toubia has received the two Teen Choice Awards nominations for Choice TV Actress Fantasy/Sci-Fi, in the years 2017 and 2018 due to her role in Shadowhunters.
