Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy SURESH (born 17th October, 1992) is an acclaimed Indian actor. Keerthy appears in Tamil films as well as Telugu movies, and also in a few of Malayalam. The actress was awarded the National Film Awards' Best Actress award for portraying Savitri as the lead character in the Telugu film Mahanati (2018). Additionally, she was awarded an award from the Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards. Keerthy is the child of filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her initial career path was an actor for children. Then, following a course in fashion design, she re-entered acting. In 2013, she played the lead in Geethaanjali an Malayalam film. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first film projects that were not in Malayalam and was signed to appear in several Tamil films simultaneously. Even though the film was not a success at the box office, her debut film is A. L. Vijay's romantic-comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2005) where she played with Vikramprabhu. To accommodate bigger projects, she had to pull out of films she had already begun working on. They include Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. In the following years, she was working on Rajini's Remo with two short film. In addition, Dhanush and she played as the main characters in Prabhu Solomon's Thodari. However, the film is being delayed from 2015 with the possibility of release in September, 2020 with a brand name change to Janakitho Nenu. The debut film was Nenu Sailaja in the year 2016 starring actor Ram Pothineni. Keerthy was first seen in Bairavaa opposite Vijay director Bharathan.
