Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musically inclined family on the 9th of August, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. When she was a kid she was a singer in the New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. When she reached the age of 15, Houston had sung professionally with backing vocals alongside her mother for Chaka Khan's 1978 song Im Every Woman. In the year 1981, she did a stint as a fashion model and also appeared on the Seventeen Cover. Also, she provided back vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. In 1981, she began to work as a vocalist with the New York-based funk group Material. The band's quality vocal performance of this group that attracted the attention of record companies like Arista. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut record for an artist in the year. All My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one single. The album debuted in 1987 and sold 25 million copies worldwide. The Whitney album followed in 1987 and the singles What Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to further build upon the success of her first album. But it was it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as one of the most loved artist. Though the movie was not highly appreciated and neither did her performance, the music of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the top spot on both the singles and album charts in America for a period of time. It sold 44,000,000 copies. In 1993, it was also when she got married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer with whom she bore the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. About this time her well-documented addiction to drugs began. By 1996, Bobbi Kristina Brown was using drugs daily.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she is employed by CNN as anchorwoman, reporter and political reporter. In the past, she has been the producer of shows on the network, such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List honor from Elle magazine. Bash is renowned for her remarkable anchoring skills and her reporting abilities are admired by young journalists.
